A tradesman building nature into human spaces.
Tropism is the studio of Devon Gwynn: designer, welder, artist, gardener and builder in Bozeman, Montana. Projects are drawn, cut, welded, planted and installed by the same hands, with local shops whenever the job calls for more.

The trades
Every trade a living space needs.
Design
Room planning and 3D modeling, so you can see the system in your space before any steel is cut.
Fabrication
Certified industrial and architectural welder. Frames are cut, welded and finished in Bozeman.
Construction
A contractor's background in carpentry, structure, drainage and irrigation, so mounts and water are done right.
Planting
Plants chosen for your light and your routine, potted and placed to thrive.
Care
Care through local plant care partners, or systems built to water and care for themselves.
From the shop floor
Welding, machining and modeling, turned toward plants.
Devon trained at Gallatin College in welding, machining and 3D modeling, and is a certified industrial and architectural welder. Tropism grew out of that training and a house full of plants: steel that moves a collection into the light, then back out of the way.

- Self-watering reservoirs, fountains and drip lines.

- Windows first, then grow lights where the sun does not reach.
